Going to watch it later. Got some good reviews and apparently another masterclass from Timothy Spall.

I saw him on telly the other night and he said he spent 2 years learning how to paint for the role, that's dedication to your work.

Not seen it, but want to very much.

I would love to see TS and DDL act together, but I think the TV would struggle to contain the awesomeness. Either that or it would give American actors a serious inferiority complex!

Went to see it today, what a wonderful experience. Beautifully shot and directed. Timothy Spall 's performance is staggeringly brilliant. An Oscar has to be on the cards. Another triumph from Mike Leigh - and looks like being his biggest success yet.

A ' must see' film.

seen this last night "walofs" Laugh

slow,boring,predictable...spall grunts a lot, goes of to margate a few times, does a bit of very poor groping and throws a bit of paint on a canvas.

what a waste of 4 hours, but all about opinions.

highlight of night was mrs knot falling asleep halfway through, usually i would have given her some grief over this..she made the right decision in this case.

All that I can say on the matter is that I would not be expecting an artist to have a fast-paced lifestyle. I would hope for some meaningful insight into the man's real life.
Hopefully, that will be what they have tried to achieve...and from the results posted so far, I would say they have succeeded.
