Tried this today and my ball striking improved beyond my wildest dreams.Basically S&T has three fundamentals
1, Weight starts on the front foot and STAYS there.
2, The hands are pulled in on the backswing(not straight back)
3, Leading shoulder points down at the ball.

I was striking the ball and THEN the turf on virtually every shot, which for me, is very rare.Anyone struggling with there golf game i implore you to try it.here's a great tutorial...

Stack - what do you think of this?

Swing analysis - Mickey Wright...Ben Hogan thought she had the best swing he'd seen.

I haven't been on a golf course for years...went up the golf range about 6 months ago...on another video, Mickey Wright gave ONE tip...when taking the club back, keep the club STRAIGHT in the first 4 inches back - just concentrate on taking the club back slowly and straight...first 4 inches...I hit about 50 drives, 200-240 yards...pretty straight...couldn't believe it...

I always take my club back on the inside, but that's because I have a bad back and the only way I can hit it even 220 with my driver is if I draw it. Not sure about the weight on the front foot idea, srely that puts a lot of emphasis on hitting the ball with your arms. If I didn't transfer my weight, I wouldn't get it past the ladies tee Grin

Take a look at this.It will take you approx 2 minutes to read it and it WILL transform your golf game.I have been playing the game for 30 odd years and i now know what it feels like to hit the ball flush every time without any effort..it really is very easy to execute.

It was the first time I had used modern big-headed drivers - unbelievable difference...liked that video...never heard of stack n tilt...like Mickey, he is advocating hitting in a wide arc...liked the tip about flaring out the feet to loosen the hips...I'd say my ball placement is the same as the bloke in the video anyway.

I had a 20 year break from the game and started again last year. Like you I had only ever used persimmon. These new fangled clubs make so much difference, and the balls are amazing, you can play 10 rounds with one and not even a hint of damage - the old balatas were smiling at you after one slight mishit.

The cavity back clubs are very forgiving...I think Tiger is one of the few pros who uses pure blades.

Indeed Velasquez, I got my old clubs out of the loft a few weeks ago. I have a Wilson Staff Tour Blade 2 iron that is as thin as Twiggy. How I ever managed to even get the ball airborne is a complete mystery.

Some Americans like to buy those old Scottish blade clubs - the kind Johnny Miller used - and they spend about £300 getting them re-chromed and getting new grooves and grips. You'd need to be Ben Hogan to use them IMO...golf much easier now...look at how those small Korean ladies can melt the ball!

Apparently there is a Hickory Golf Society, and Sandy Lyle is the current Hickory World Champion.

Read an article recently where Tiger said in 2000 he drove the green on the 9th at St Andrews in a practice round. Peter Dawson (R&A Secretary) gave him a Gutta Percha ball and he managed to get up with Drive and 4 Iron!

That is unreal - but there must have been a helluva lot of stress in Tiger's swing - power and stress, which maybe explains his injury woes.
