start
control panel sound double click on audio device with the yellow exc mark properties driver update driver restart computer and that should do the trick |

Does your realtek software have sound effects on it? If so it may be a setting on that causing the strange sound.

You should be a ble to access it via the system tray (bottom right of screen by the clock) - or via the control panel - Start > Control Panel > Sound

unticked a box to make it disabled. Worked a treat
