Been watching some Hitch videos for the last hour - can't get over it's been nearly 3 years now since he died.

Lucid thinker His book "God is not Great" a worthwhile read for anyone on either side of the religious divide and especially for those sitting on the fence. |

I loved Hitch. His battle with Galloway was an entertaining one, and his religion debate with Blair was also excellent. Pairing up with Stephen Fry against that inept Nigerian catholic and Ann Widdecombe was decidedly one sided, and being in a trio with Dawkins and Grayling made for a formidable team. But I could go on and on. It's good that there's such a rich seam of his work on Youtube.
His autobiography Hitch-22 is an excellent read. Did they ever find out which of Thatcher's cabinet he'd bummed at Oxford? But yes he is sadly missed. |

He was a speaker and writer and people paid to listen to him or read his views.
At the end of the day he was simply an entertainer. He was also a heavy drinker, smoker, and a Marxist. That says it all about him for me. |

When Hitchens took on the disgusting Galloway, I almost passed away from the sheer boredom of listening to two puffed up know alls taking it in turns to show off with their command of English.
