Until a couple of months ago I hadn't done this since I was a kid.

I obviously enjoyed the experience as I did it again last night, but this time from the other side.

It's a strange feeling as I was half asleep,and yet could feel myself going down in slow motion.

This time, to mix it up a bit, I hit my head on the bedside chest and again on the bottom plinth
Actually I hit it pretty hard and was half expecting to pass out.

Don't really know how I managed it as the bed's big enough, for God's sake!

It's a strange feeling as I was half asleep,and yet could feel myself going down in slow motion.

I was reading about this lately. When something happens like falling, your brain pays more attention, gathers more detail and records more of the experience making it seem like longer than it was.
