Close, Slippy.

I was thinking more of the
"Beatles are overrated crap", "bubblegum music" etc etc.
Which I'm pleased to see you pulled up short of. Happy

There are too many to choose from. So many different styles and types of song.
50% was clever, inventive, tuneful, largely unparalleled. 40% was ordinary and about 10% was crap.

imo

You know me far too well by now Study to think I would take the rise out anyone's musical tastes just because it isn't my thing. My favourite band of all time is Depeche Mode for crissakes so I'm hardly in a position to hold the moral high ground am I? Grin A lot of folk think they are dire. I'm more an AC/DC, The Ramones man as well, I just never 'got' The Beatles but that's not to say they didn't do some great songs but they were just not for me.

if you ask my 4 year old it's "Octopus's garden". She absolutely loves it as is the only real non "pop" song she will listen to.

Anyone that can appeal to the musical tastes of adults and SMALL children alike ain't have bad in my book.
