phone Betfair NOW !

|

Tried that already but no response and it would be going through to Malta where they are clueless!
|

I'm sure there was a link somewhere for this.
I guess I could just say I forgot it but meantime my funds are hidden on a 2015 market. |
|
By:
You also need 2-step authentication.
|
|
By:
Thanks...I changed it by saying I forgot it.
The crazy thing is it wouldn't accept the three numbers in the middle (yes my numbers lock is on). Then it said must contain at least one number!!! I was trying to keep it as was, with just the numbers changed! I put the numbers first and that went ok, so I don't know what the deal is. Will take a look at the 2-step thingy. |

Took me ages to get round to it but now I can't imagine how I used get by without it. Feel much more secure now.

What is the procedure please Wesdag?

Just look at the 3 or 4 short videos mentioned in this post.
Betfair Community Manager 4 28 Aug 14 14:13 Hi Carrera32. I’ve just come across this thread and wanted to provide a bit more information on the 2-Step Authentication. Firstly we would strongly advise that all customers do not disclose any of their account details, including usernames and passwords, to any unauthorised third parties. The security of your personal information is a priority. You can make your account more secure by using your password and your phone when you want to log on to your Betfair account. Here is a short vide where you can learn a bit more about the 2-Step Authentication: http://btfr.co/Two-Step-Vid What is 2-Step Authentication? 2-Step Authentication helps protect your account even if your password is cracked or stolen. In fact, an attacker could not log onto your Betfair account without a Verification Code. This is a code that only you can obtain with your own smartphone. What do I need to do to set up 2-Step Authentication? Firstly, you need an iPhone, Blackberry, Android or Windows phone. Then you need to install a free app called Google Authenticator on your phone. Lastly, you need to configure this app to work with your Betfair account. How will I log onto my Betfair account after 2-Step Authentication has been set up? After you have set up 2-Step Authentication, you will be required to enter a Verification Code after your Username and Password whenever you log onto your Betfair account from a computer, tablet, mobile phone, etc. The Verification Code will be generated by the Google Authenticator app you installed on your phone. This will work even if you are not connected to the Internet. You can also use Mobile PIN to login to Betfair native applications, your mobile device becomes the second factor and you won’t also need to enter a verification code. For more information regarding 2-Step Authentication, please visit our dedicated Help pages: http://btfr.co/Two-Step-Auth If you have any further security concerns or would like to discuss this further, please contact our Helpdesk who will be happy to help: http://btfr.co/ContactUs |

AP you use a bot if I remember correctly?
maybe this is responsible for the security flaw |
|
By:
Jayco, I run two "bots", and several instances of one of them every da and have done so for years.
The only other time I had a problem was a long time ago, where I got up in the morning to find I was £47.00 down. Checking my statements there were lay bets on two dog races and on one it was laid twice! I never work on evening greyhounds, and certainly wouldn't lay to such a liability. The bots weren't running and I was in the land of nod. Phoned the "help" desk but I was through to Malta who told me to call on Monday morning and ask for the security department. Monday morning I was asked to call at 09:30 but when I did there was no response from them! Sent an e-mail, and got a reply saying that they took security very seriously. Oh yeah!!! So why haven't the fekkers got back to me. I gave them the bets id, but they take it so seriously that I had no response from said tw@ts. Obviously I had changed my password, and now "hide" most of my bank in Australian markets, and/or on a long term no hoper at 1.01. I gave up on the security conscious pratts as it was only putting my BP up. |

Oh, sorry and thanks Wesdag, I will check that out tomorrow when I am sober....hic

does your bot make monies everyday
|
|
By:
Well not exactly but that is not an issue. The thing is to come to terms with losses, as just "a business expense".
What the bots do is to make calculations in milliseconds (which nobody could do) and to take out the emotion, and place positions when you are not there, and to cut you off if you are about to lose previous profits. I can't see how people survive without them to be frank. Forget all the waste of time studying form, as "who do you think you are"? The markets are well enough established, by people with the knowledge. If you are laying (or backing) in running, you have no chance of doing calcs, and submitting (made worse by the 5 secs delay) and even the bots can fire in but not be matched due to rapid market movement. |

By:
I get what you mean . Like in poker they can be beaten but they play every % to a tee
Could you end up doing your bank with it or is it just so much at a time , take it you made it or bought it |
|
By:
"who do you think you are"?
Sorry, to confirm. that wasn't aimed at anyone in particular. |
|
By:
Don't tell the apps developers but they are cheap as chips.
One is £6.00 per month, which is about the cost of one banana or egg per day! The other one was a £97.00 one off payment, but plus £20.00 per six months (optional) for support and updates. |
|
By:
ill need to see into them , do you have certain markets you only play ?
|
|
By:
A 3rd party has your login details, who is responsible for any rogue activity
|
|
By:
Jayco, that is a very valid point but, whilst a concern at first, I've been running these programmes for many years
without issues other than the two I mentioned. |
|
By:
Chaser....I run "Gruss Betting Assistant" which covers every market and is worth it for me just for laying horses in running.
If you are good at Excel you can write your own programmes, and Gary and Mark are the best of the best for support. "BetBotPro" is brilliant but only for Horses and Dogs. To be honest I don't give a dam about Greyhounds, and wouldn't be seen dead at a meeting, but it's just another medium on which to speculate. The best thing about it is there are fifty two races (bags) every day except Saturday, and more in the evening which I tend to avoid. |

Cheers i see Gruss Betting Assistant has 30 day free trial , ill read about it and download it when i know whats what.
