If early 2015 they think Milband could win it go much much lower as fears over the Public Finances and potential collapse resurface.

tbh it could be 5900 by next week!
We are already in 10% correction territory for the last 4 weeks. I reckon it could go to 4500 within the next year but who knows? (answer: Nobody) |

There was plenty to cheer about today's price action.
Stopping volume on a spring argues well for today's bar being a bottom. I don't expect it to go much lower now. People who understand volumes and spreads night be waiting for sideways action for a while now, then a test to confirm it before they jump in, others will have bought today. Nevertheless it looks like a fair bet even without a test. This should not be regarded as advice of any sort by the way. |

The movements in the stock market are not as random as you might think.
However how far it goes up and for how long is another matter. |

all the so called experts and pension funds running for the hills with all the mug auto enrollment monies, its a disgrace that governments advice novices to put their hard earned into stockmarkets that can fall 10% in a month on a whim, theres no news out there that wasnt their last week, only 6 days since gideon and sham were pointing us to the sunny uplands , now its talk of downturns, recessions and stockmarket crashes, theres only 1% of the worlds population[richest of course] who saw any upturn,

Stocks have been way overvalued ever since the last crash
In an ideal world they'd only be marginally higher than that now |

Examining today's action further, it appears that the FTSE100 was down at 6075 by 10:45.
Then it went sideways on heavy volume before moving up. If it moved sideways on heavy volume then the selling was being absorbed. The buying finally overcame the selling and it recovered to finish 15 points down on the day. Now ask yourself who on earth was buying amid all the doom and gloom? Professionals in the market with big money don't buy if they think the market is going even lower in the near future. So they're unlikely to let it go much lower. Also, others will respond to the obvious signals and interpret it like I have. Like I said earlier ''the movements in the stock market are not as random as you might think.'' Whether my analysis on this occasion works out or not. |

Well I was spot on with my assessment a few weeks ago and as you can see I called the bottom of the market exactly to the day.
So anybody who bought at the time would be enjoying a 3.8% rise in the market to date. Multiples of the FTSE percentage rise were there for the taking as usual if you knew which shares to go for. Shares that pick themselves by their price action, and you don't even have to know or even care what business they're in. Today's market action calls for extreme caution because supply appears to have entered the market despite an 82 point rise. Yes it was snapped up but increased volume like that on an up bar after a decent rise is always a concern. So here we are at another possible benchmark in the market. The market could be tested with a sharp drop on Monday. Whereas an up day with a narrow spread on decent or high volume or a bar like an upside down dagger would surely see the market collapse over the coming days or weeks. Fingers on the sell button. Nevertheless here's hoping for a drop to recover unchanged on low volume for the day - strength! Or another fair move up on average (not massive) volume to leave the danger behind for now. Good luck with your trading no matter how large or small. |

Now ask yourself who on earth was buying amid all the doom and gloom?
The Pension Fund managers. Sell at whatever and then buy back same at 10% less. Now own 11% more shares at little cost. |
