Appeal after rabbit's ears cut off and leg broken in "inconceivable" attack

YOBS are believed to have deliberately cut off a rabbit's ears with a pair of scissors and left one of its back legs badly broken during an "inconceivable" attack.
The distraught creature was found in a park near Dirkhill Road in Bradford on Sunday.
RSPCA inspector Joanne Hartley said: “This animal has suffered incredibly and I want to hear from anyone who has any specific information that might lead me to who is responsible.
"What happened to this rabbit’s ears can’t have been an accident. We actually believe they have been cut off using scissors. The rabbit’s back left leg was also badly broken.
"The rabbit is on pain relief at the vet’s and they’re going to amputate the broken leg, but the poor creature isn’t out of the woods yet."
The rabbit had not been microchipped so its owner has not yet been found.
Inspector Hartley said: “It’s inconceivable that someone could do something so terrible to a living thing."
Anyone with any information should call 0300 1234 999 and ask to leave a message for inspector Hartley.
