I have been invited to a family wedding there next summer. Its not a wedding I have to attend but the Balkans is somewhere I would be interested to visit. A family member checked flights ( I live in n.ireland ) and they seems expensive. Around £450 return from Dublin, stopping in Vienna I think.
I would not be going just for the wedding and travelling so far for just a few days. I would want to stay maybe 10 days in total, so basically a week long holiday after the wedding.
Nice place to visit? I would not mind taking a flight to somewhere else in that region for the week holiday after the wedding. I will be going with my wife and our little boy who will then be 3 and a half.

After reading about that English bloke who claimed to have died from Ebola I looked up his hotel is Skopje. Very cheap, less than £300 a week. I think I'd probably consider it. I think it was the super 8 hotel or something. He was I  his 70's so it's oap friendly and probably good for families too.
