Need some sun and toying with the idea of going end October. Been to Lanzarote and GC but never Tenerife. Not really worth going further afield for only a week...
Can anyone recommend a good place for a nice beach, good swimming, decent restaurants and nightlife for over 50s?
Been to Lanzarote & GC but Tenerife is much better imo. Playa des Americas is the best nightlife. Hotel Bitacora (All inclusive) you can't go wrong, amazing food!! 5 minutes walk from the main strip, check out Brahms & Liszt bar, great entertainment nightly,,,Jeff Leighton is a must see.

PDLC is in the north, too far away from the airport. Americas is more for the young ones. Adeje would be perfect. It is in the south so close to the airport, only 5 euros in a taxi to Americas if you want to visit there. It is still quite lively, just more upmarket than Americas. Some nice beaches and hotels too

Stopped in Adeje @ Las Dalias hotel (beautiful Hotel, good food) but imo the nightlife is not as good as Playa. True there are tribute bands in Playa but then a lot of the same acts play in Adeje too. Better shops in Playa too. Basically if you stand and face the sea in Playa @ nightime, head right if you are under 25/30 but head left if you are over 25/30. Better restaurants in Playa too if you are not all inclusive.
