I saw a report saying that medical experts believe that developed countries would have the infrastructure to quickly contain any outbreaks of Ebola should it arrive. I find this quite hard to believe...
On the 2  occasions in which an Ebola carrier has arrived in a western country, it has resulted in a spanish nurse and now an american nurse contracting it from said patient, despite the isolation beds and protective clothing. 2 Patients, 2 sick nurses.
In America, they have police guarding the nurses apartment, they are watching 45 other people who had contact with her. This is all fine, and may well contain this 'outbreak'. But what if a couple of these 45 start getting ill? then that is another 2 police guards and another 90 people to watch. It really would not  take much for it to get out of control.  An infected person could arrive in London and travel on the tube for a week before they feel ill enough to go and see a doctor. How many people would they infect?
The end of all civilization as we know it is not far away! It will be like a Zombie movie.... I have loaded up Fray Bentos pies, bottled water and DVD box sets just in case..... Cool
