any motor mechanics out there what would be the cost of replacing the brake pads discs and shoes and a service on a Renault clio thanks in advance

It seems to be standard practice to advise replacing discs as well as pads - whether its really needed or not.

A quick google will give you plenty of reading on whether you really need it or not.

I had the pads changed on mine a few months ago.
I supplied the pads and they charged me £20 to fit them. Back street garage and I watched them do it. Fifteen minute job.

The shoes will take longer, and they'll probably find a cylinder that needs replacing and advise you to change the pair. Over the phone of course.
I suppose that's the ways of the world these days.
