My speaker sound on my laptop keeps adjusting itself

Cheeky fecker - when I tap the laptop screen it actually sounds like someone is listening from behind the screen

You probably have the speaker adjustment bar (if that's whats it's called) open and still 'attached' to your mouse wheel, so when you scroll up it's pumping up the volume

Big Issue....how do i stop this, had it weeks , driving me mad

if anyone can help me here, i'd be grateful, everytime i look at volue it goes up from 50 to 90 without me asking it too

Do you use any of the function keys (like F1 etc), on my laptop pressing F10 increases the volume

How to stop it? Make sure that after using the volume bar to change volume level, that you click on the webpage you are using to 'disconnect' from it.....then scrolling won't scroll the volume level instead of the webpage.....assuming this is what you are doing.

My PC now sounds like i am in a cave making tinny sound, ffs someone help me . I'll offer a reward

What model; what operating system; what media player? What is this thing that measures volume in steps of 10? Could you be doing it yourself as Big_issue suggests by scrolling while the mouse focus is still in whatever program is making a noise? Does it start off too loud (in which case you may want to reset your defaults)?

sony vaio, windows 7. (sound slider bar on 40-50 and catapults itself to 90 without me asking it too)

Start button menu thingy > go to search box at bottom and type volume > from what appears, select adjust system volume.

Some programs can set their own defaults. Go through the menus of whatever you are using.

I'm not familiar with the Vaio but if it has buttons to adjust the sound, have you spilt orange juice or any other viscous fluid on the keyboard?
