Housework
Image for Housework
Not currently available on BBC iPlayer
Series 2 Episode 4 of 8
DURATION: 30 MINUTES
Martin is left to look after the house when Ann goes into hospital. He's adamant he can cope on his own, but as it turns out, Ann was right to fret about the state of their home.

Ever Decreasing Circles, of course with the comic genius Richard Briers. If anyone doesn't find this hilarious I'll bear my backside in Burton's window, Broadway Bradford.

It's "Bare" and you'd best start unbuckling.
Report kenny mann October 6, 2014 4:49 PM BST
ha ha so it is, anyway you haven't had time to watch it.
Report Ken Masters October 6, 2014 4:50 PM BST
I remember it from when it first aired, I wept throughout.

Report kenny mann October 6, 2014 5:05 PM BST
no cats, that's the only thing I can find wrong with it.
Report kenny mann October 6, 2014 5:07 PM BST
That's a very young Penelope, Vel'

Thanks for that, kenny. I had no idea Burton's still existed.

A tad slapstick for me. EDC was a brilliant series. The subtle humour was impressive by all  the cast.

I think you need to watch it more than once, Facts, to appreciate the brilliance of the script and the acting. The slapstick was only 4-5 minutes and wonderfully done. As you say it was a great series.

Very nice, Slippy.

Yes they're still going strong, screaming.

Great news. I feared it was all over for Burton's, Foster Menswear, Mr Byrite etc. once that sinister chap from Hong Kong started advertising in the back of the colour supplements.

I for one would hate to say goodbye to the traditional ill-fitting men's suit.

1968, Kenny - it said on the caption that it's her fave photie -- it's by Cornel Lucas...

Lauren Bacall.

Blimey I was still a teen back then (just)

I used to get all my clothes off the peg, screaming. Then the neighbours started taking their washing in.
Report kenny mann October 6, 2014 10:03 PM BST
That's not Lauren Bacall. It's Penelope again. Vel'.
Report Velasquez October 6, 2014 10:44 PM BST
Is it, Kenny? If you google Lauren Bacall Cornel Lucas the first two photos are classy - Bacall sitting on the couch with the cigarette and a colour photo by the fireplace.
