Is this really happening again? Are we really heading into yet another  unwinnable war with no clear strategic plan, no time scale, no exit strategy and spending more billions off the back off the British tax payer, who if given the choice, would vote with a resounding no. Whose to say air strikes will not eventually lead to ground force to? which, the longer it goes on, the more likely that'll be  It's not about not having the stomach for the fight -  as history has already proven, dealing with the Middle East's problems is an insurmountable challenge, it's a case of insanity, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. We have nutters in our own country we should be dealing with, and it will cost a lot less. As far as I'm concerned, unless IS is on our doorstep carrying out killings, we should stay well out and leave it to the American's and their coalition forces, we've done enough (damage) over the years, this will only result in yet more austerity measures, the poor suffering yet again. And if there is another public transport attack like 7/7, it wont be the Westminster politicians who suffer, they all have chauffeurs. Can and will only end in tearsSad

I don't think anybody has said that ground troops won't be needed.

I should have added that it is acknowledged that ground troops will be needed but that they will be Iraqi and Kurdish forces
