Bearded Dragons

Can't tell you about Bearded Dragons in particular, but we have got two leopard Geckos and a python. 

Reptiles don't make good "pets" in the conventional sense, as I'm sure you know - they'll never be affectionate - but they do recognise you and they repsond to routine, and if and don't expect to handle them more than half-hour a day, then they're very cute and engaging.  We've grown very fond of our lot.

Mrs S wanted nothing to do with any of them whenever we added to the family.  Now she loves them all.

I've had a beardie before.

Fun little fella, quite engaging to watch him chase Crickets everywhere. Was quite happy to be handled and I enjoyed feeding him vegetables, which should comprise some of their diet. It's the live food the misses may have a problem with. You'll have to bring home tubs of large and very much alive crickets or locusts.

Also, I would be wary buying any animal from Pets at Home. Much better to find a dedicated reptile shop or even look online for a breeder. Reptile vet costs can be high and you don't want to start off with a sickly little fella.

They can whiff a bit though. My Python smells like roses is comparison.

Not if my ex girlfriend is anything to go by...!!!

My daughter has one. They make much better pets than Geckos as they are less flighty and you can take them out of their viv and let them have a stroll around the house. Make sure you buy a big enough vivarium as they grow quite large but overall they make pretty good pets.
