The new royal baby is good news for the CONSERVATIVE party, because by my estimation he or she will be born during the general election campaign next spring and it is common knowledge that events such as that create a "feelgood" factor within the country and so an incumbent party will me more popular (or less unpopular) than would otherwise be the case.
