I really enjoyed it and reckon it's worth a watch if you're intending to.

Have seen two episodes now, and not sure I'm convinced by the acting or the credibility of the two (maybe even three) lead characters.

Well I enjoyed it. There's a danger that we take a critical eye to everything that we watch and in doing so end up thinking everything is carp.

Seems like he has a form of Asperges but how would he ever have made it to be a detective in the first place.
Seen worse but its lacking something that I can't put my finger on at the moment.

As The Tunnel was a remake of the magnificent The Bridge & Saga Noren ....perhaps not.

Chasing Shadows is enjoyable , but it ain't no Bridge.

that's what I'm doing M_D, I totally lose interest in these things if I have to wait a whole week between episodes  Plain

I'm usually pretty forgiving with things I watch, and tend to like a lot of stuff people find fault with. I'll certainly watch the remaining episodes, but The lead characters don't convince, and the stories are not as gripping as something like Broadchurch, for example, and it doesn't even bear comparison to classics like The Bridge.

Thought episode 1 was disappointing, but the 2nd one was much better, faster paced and a big improvement.

Cannot disagree with that, one of the reasons  maybe is you usually get to know the characters  & their personality in episode one & as the main lead does not have one or should I say is totally one dimensional its more about the story in this case which moved quicker in the second episode.

I watched the second two parter of this yesterday.

It was better than the first two episodes, probably because I knew not to expect great things.

All very implausible but worth watching just to see Alex Kingston and Reece Shearsmith.

Looks like there will be another series.

Left it well and truly open for a return with his housekeeper going missing. Can see it now... "He's back...and this time it's personal".

You watching The Driver? Episode 2 tonight.

I watched The Driver earlier this afternoon, Roger. I work Tuesday evenings.

The Driver is brilliant. Last night's episode was very grim and very violent.

The writing and acting is superb.

What do you think of it?

Filming is very good too. Let's not forget the hardworking cameramen.

Yes The Driver has been decent - brutal this week, and think it will get messy again next week. Think it's the last part next week and it has been set up nicely that anything could still be the outcome.
