Hobson's Choice. A little gem of a film with excellent performances from Charles Laughton and John Mills. In fact, the whole cast is superb. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend that you watch or record. An 8 out of 10 from me. Enjoy.

Christ, I like a drink, but the way Gage knocks back the spirits in the film makes me wonder if I should cut back on my alcohol consumption.
I'm not a heavy drinker, but I need something to take the 'edge' off of things when the tape goes up or the stalls open if I have a largish bet. When I think about it more I should take a break from the alcohol altogether for a couple of months. |

Me too stewarty b, I've watched it a good few times as well. Nicholas Cage and Elisabeth Shue were both excellent but Cage in particular was superlative I thought. For me LLV easily his best film. I like a beer as much as the next man but his character took it to a different level completely.
