Great actor and director.

Here we go again.

Over the top praise again simply because he was famous.
I thought the Today programme on Radio 4 is supposed to be a news programme.
It was more like the David Attenborough show this morning.

Okay he was a great guy but I'm sick of hearing about him already.

At the end of the day he was simply a very ordinary actor and a film director who earned himself a fortune from it.
You'd think these kinds of people had worked for nothing the way they go on about them after they're dead.

I had a vague connection......I did up his parents house for the new owners late 60s............I was also 1 of 8 of us looking after the West Pier Brighton till it broke land...............He paid for 1 side of the rear landing to be re-wooded out of his own pocket as he could not believe that it would be let to go to ruin..............

Mister Badger,
Whatever I may be I don't come on here simply to be rude to other posters over their comments.

What would you call someone like yourself who does that?
Report MisterBadger August 25, 2014 11:49 AM BST
Crippen

I don't come on here simply to be rude to other posters over their comments either, so your question is meaningless. Your previous post on this thread was uncalled for and inappropriate imo, and my comment to you was based on other similarly nasty and spiteful posts you have made on other threads. Still, as you're a Christian I'm sure you can find it within yourself to forgive me. I hope that clears things up you clown.

Really felt for him when he lost his daughter and granddaughter in the Boxing Day Tsunami.

I will look out for his films that are sure to be in the TV schedules in the coming weeks. I've not seen many of them Blush

RIP Richard Attenborough

When he was asked why he called everybody 'darling' he said 'I can't remember all their names.' Laugh

I can't see how people go OTT on his performance as Pinky in Brighton Rock. When I was that age, 17, he wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes against me.

Never seen Gandhi, not my type of film, also not a fan of Ben Kingsley.

I think his brother's 'Life on Earth' and other documentaries were far better than Dickie's films.

Nonetheless, a staunch Labour man, and if that gets up oil slick Cameron's nose, that's okay by me.

R.I.P.
