Just emptied my mail box and have a flier from the above.

Can't believe there can be more than one Tommy Cannon, and I met him years ago at his house in Kellfield, between York and Selby.

At the time he said he was skint until the "Panto" season.

Anyone else got any great A-list name-dropping anecdotes about their junk mail?

I haven't.

I've heard North Yorkshire's a good place to get your asphalt.

Looks like he has moved to a scratty looking place near Hillam, where I occasionally cycle.

Must pop in to say hello and have a nice G&T.

The pair are devout Christians and published a book called Christianity for Beginners.[10] Ball became a born-again Christian in 1986 and Cannon in 1992, their conversion having a lot to do with the re-kindling of their broken friendship. They now regularly feature in their own gospel and "an audience with..." show in churches around the country

... watch out if you ask for a quote ... you might never get rid of him

Keith Harris has had a successful carpet firm near me for 20 years. I wonder if you could get a firm of 80's light entertainers to build an entire house? Those who aren't in jail. Although when they come out they will probably have served apprenticeships.

Mind you, if it's real celeb stories you're after in the last month I've seen both Jenny Falconer and Finchy from the office picking up shiit after their dogs, they live very close by. I've not been to their houses, at least not whilst they were awake.

David Van Day, of "Dollar" fame, became a burger flipper in Brighton (or somewhere down there).

Also Zammo from Grange Hill worked in (owned?) a key-cutting/shoe-mending place near Poland St in Soho a few years back, when I saw him he had two black eyes so he's obviously not had much luck giving up the old horse.

the celebs picking up dog shiit has good mileage. Only last week I saw geriatric actor Bernard Hepton scooping up a steamer recently deposited by his spaniel.

Good idea Barry - so far we've got:

Cannon on the driveway
Harris on floor coverings
Zammo on the locks/windows/shoes
Van-Day running the on-site cafe
Falconer/Finchy/Hepton keeping the portaloo clean

I fear so far we've got too many chiefs (shiit-pickers) and not enough Indians (actual builders).
