In village shop today was an old woman with a fat Labrador. So fat and unhealthy his legs were splayed outwards.I swear he had two double chins and could barely walk , yet the woman obviously thought the world of the poor old thing and would never see she is killing him with a warped sort of indulgent love.

Yes, there's all sorts of cruely, Doobo. I would put that at the lower end though. Some shocking stuff in this programme.

Didn't watch it.I caught a programme about fighting dogs a few weeks ago. Totally out of my realm of understanding.

Yes. I saw that channel 45 programme last night about 'pit bulls' and their chav owners. Mind-numbingly stupid! It really depressed me. These stupid people have no concept of social responsibility.
We must have ALL dogs 'chipped' and ANYBODY found with an unchipped dog should be subject to some draconian penalty. The dog should be destroyed. I am a true dog lover, but we cannot allow this irresponsible breeding of dangerous animals in the hands of scum owners. Any proper owner will have their dog chipped and nobody could deny ownership. |

Plenty of black chaps in Newham with banned dogs.
Tina Delaney is a Newham Animal Welfare Officer, and has been on morning telly for a few days. |

Most of the "dangerous" dogs were not dangerous a week after after being removed from their scumbag underclass "owners".

Pit bulls are used by small time drug dealers. Small packs of drugs are secured under the dogs collar. This is to stop other small time dealers mugging them.

I think it should be the law that every dog owner has to have a licence at a cost of say £150 per annum.
If you love a dog that much you'll be more than happy to pay it. If your stopped by the authorities and can't produce the licence, the dog is then confiscated to be re-homed if the licence is not produced within a week. I'm fairly sure it would give some of the scumbags something to think about. |

I should have added that pit bull types would not get a licence and when confiscated would sadly have to be put down.

Totally agree stewarty, but sadly they've been talking about that for a lot of years.

I know canny, it's really up to the government to act. I feel really sorry for those who work for the RSPCA who have to witness some horrific scenes. I'm sure going dome the licence route would lift a huge burden from them.
