Weapons of Mass Destruction was the big lie invented by Bush and Blair to justify an invasion of Iraq with the real objective being control of the oil fields. So could the latest Israeli aggression against Gaza be a similar scenario? It has been known for a several years now that there is a prospective gas field off the coast of Gaza with massive natural deposits. Is has been named "Marine" and could potentially provide financial security for the country.

So is the recent Israeli offensive really about subduing Hama or are there deeper reasons behind their disproportionate aggression? According to this article the latest onslaught on Gaza may well be for the same reasons as the big WMD lie.

I do sympathize with the Palestinian cause
I think this gas needs to stay with Gaza...by improving the economic conditions of those in Gaza they will have less reason to fight....at the moment they are being left with little else but to fight http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-28587041 off subject..here is an interesting one, on same page Blind  Americans are asking for the right to carry guns.......erm, is this sensible????? |

They are all Wars of the Ottoman Succession.
All of them, even Donetsk and Crimea, were once ruled by Turks or their allies. The wars and ongoing disputes in the former Yugoslavia are just another example of this. No empire ever breaks up swiftly or peacefully. Too many resentments will have built up. |
