fat kids
when I was at school, there was usually just the one fat kid per class; now it looks like most of the class are fat kids |
|

We had only one fat kid in a school of circa 1,000 pupils.
My god his life must have been miserable as he was targeted pretty much every day. Things such as being stood astride a tennis net, which was wound up so he couldn't get off, and having his enormous underpants up the flagpole, for more times than I can remember. I hasten to add that I was not involved in any of this mischief, and nor did I condone it! |

Underpants and boxer shorts. For the youth of today that insist on having their trousers hanging half way down their butts, they are called underpants for a reason.

Not just fat kids but fat people.
How many people did you encounter who was fat even, say, 30 years ago? One or two were a bit tubby, perhaps - but really fat people were a rarity on the streets. Not 'the norm' as they are getting to be these days. |

ADHD.
Most lads had lots of energy which needed burning off. Sometimes lads were classed as boisterous. When they got really bad they were called naughty. Now they nearly all seem to have a label such as ADHD. |

People remarking about the amount of fat kids compared to yesteryear.
Fast food outlets.(used to be the chippy open at mid-day and in the evening, and that was about it) Crisps. (used to get a packet to share with my brother as a treat every now and then if we were good.) Fizzy drinks (used to get 1 bottle of Dandelion & Burdock and 1 bottle of lemonade a week when the pop van came around.) Human grazing. (used to have meal times. They don't seem to exist any more as people seem to be constantly stuffing their faces) Fat kids. |

Diddy, London isn't the London I knew growing up as a kid. I wouldn't go to places like Covent Garden or Soho for a night out now if there was a free bar.
