simple way to cut burglaries, robberies overnight

It's far simpler than that pandora. They rob to get their fix. Prior to the Misuse Of Drugs Act 1971 they went to their GP and got their hit. I'm not suggesting anything revolutionary. It was what happened for most of our time as a country. At the time there were about 3000 addicts in this country. Get the GP's surgeries having drug rooms and let the addicts get their fix and then they don't need to rob grannies to feed ther habit. If it was good enough for Queen Victoria then a snoot and a toot is good enough for anybody who wants it now.

Put another way have you any idea how much money an addict could get through to feed their habit? Don't give em money for fuccks sake.

trust me i've known a few hardcore addicts in my old town , grown up with since teens , and the average person just wouldn't believe what they'll spend on drugs , i've heard of them going out , robbing 1k in a night then blowing the lot up their noses , only to be out robbing again a few nights later

they honestly don't give a t0ss about any amount of money you could give them , a few lads i've known used to make 1k day regularly , sometimes 10k if lucky & they just buy a new fancy car to burn into the ground then too ,  though they do all try & quit in the end , without much luck

It just used to wind me up as to how rich they could've been , but getting rich isn't their point , just fast easy living

also most burglaries actually happen in the daytime

In the old days, burglary happened at night by definition (during the day it was called housebreaking) but then they changed the law.

There was something in the paper recently about burglars taking metal detectors to look for jewellery, and anything they found would be posted straight away in a cash for gold envelope.

I agree with pandora. It has been forgotten recently that one of the main aims of the welfare state is to bribe the criminal classes not to commit crimes.

I agree, should register with GP and be given what they need, save awful lot of plod's time and hence public money chasing petty thieves round town all day
