I'd just like to say thanks for the good wishes & to the few of you who cared enough to find out that i was alright a few weeks back
I'm ok , but your instincts were good as was feeling a bit low after a bad world cup betting wise & a few other things, so have taken some time out from the forum for a while to chill & think a few life things through , this life can be testing enough without all the negativity to add here at times
I've been busy getting back upto speed with the poker which is difficult & takes far too much of my time up , so still haven't got much else done apart from watching Breaking Bad really
I love all you guys that understand a bit though , so hope you are all well too !
I was a bit taken back by it all at the time with talk of phoning the Police to check on me tbh , felt a bit like some crazed guy in one of sideshowbobs dvd's , but it is very nice to know that you guys cared , so Thanks

It's a great watch Emden , kinda grows on you as the plot evolves i even started getting Paranoid like Walter White

I played the world cup a bit badly & got caught out early laying the group stages
You always knew who was going to win matches but i lost on a lot of under 3.5 etc
the semi's were also tense due to extra time & then missed backing Argentina as i slept late
the 7-1 was sickening to watch in the end & just felt quite disillusioned about it all for a while , it was a long hot summer
but hopefully i'll turn it around this year

Made good money on the groups when sober , after that was drinking mostly for the rest and wasnt so good
Had Argentina to win from the start also so that was a sickener in the end
I fancied Germany early on i usually do , but i should've just backed the Top 4 winners market big like i intended after Spain had gone out instead of messing around with groups ,unders & all
I also fancied Argentina strongly , they were the main dangers all the way due to the draw
I just need to quit trading unders , the losses can be sickening at times
i do overs normally will take a few weeks to find out who to avoid

Glad you are ok. Gambling and drinking are bad if you are suffering from depression. If you are winning, it doesn`t make you feel any better, but if you are doing your bollocks, it makes you feel 100 times worse. Alcohol, forget it, it`s a depressive on it`s own right. My advice, with good intentions, would be, chuck drinking and gambling and see a doctor. Good luck

and you're right , i've got drinking under control now & don't exactly Drink & Gamble in tandem i just like a couple when my work's done to chill out & watch a film or so .
I can actually deal with depression well enough too ,but the facts are all too evident in my life , sitting playing poker non stop for 6-8 hours per night (as games are just so dead in the daytime i just sleep) it's a lonely life & am just not sure why i'm still killing myself to keep up with it when i really don't enjoy playing much any longer
The Doctor can only ever prescribe more tablets , which i don't like to take , but it's been my living for a long time now that i don't know what else to do , so only i can deal with that , but i would like to quit , or calm it down soon as i have a bit of money & feel i'm just wasting my time away now , it's kinda worrying approaching 40

what pills they got you on , i quit poker a good few month ago , was driving me mad with the bad beats i was getting

True, but the problem is that if a person is suffering from depression and anxiety, the person doesn`t want to see or speak to anyone, let alone go out the door.

Sports Betting and watching the matches on tv is much more enjoyable than sitting playing Poker at a Computer all day. I`ve never played at Poker, although I find it a fascinating game. Mind you, years ago, long before the internet, I used to partake in some major card schools. 3 card Brag was the game for BIG bucks.

I have made over 100k crags , which is decent enough to own but nothing to brag about , if you really want to know i own my flat (roughly 60k) & just over the same in cash , but not 200k
