It's all part of the modern era, where everything and everyone is uniformly defined by extremes, such as being described as a genius, for doing any of a number of minor things, like scoring a goal or writing a 3 minute song, or they absolute complete and utter total facking cnts, for the slightest inconvenience or displeasure caused to us.

Mind you, everyone is supposed to have a sixth sense,we all supposed to have a hidden quality that we are capable of excelling in,and most people don't know what their hidden quality is.

OK this is how it works.
The term genius can be given to a few individuals. Not many.
The ability to recognise a genius is given again to some individuals. Many but not all.
Then there are many thousands of people who will never really  understand why a
particular artist or scientist or sportsman is a genius.

Genius is a totally over used word nowadays. A bit like the label ' hero '

It cheapens the true meaning.

It is not just a question of imtelligence, former soviet spy Anthony Blunt was in charge of the Queens art collecti.on
Despite a degree from Cambridge he admitted not really understand what was a good or bad painting.

Most people would not recognise fully why a scientific formula, or a piece of music, or writing by Shakespeare is a work of genius.
Some will.

It is also true that a work of genius will remain a work of genius even if everyone in the world
says it is not.

I am just after reading that in a scientific breakthrough in 2009(now confirmed) that ants talk to each other by making sounds, they also bury their dead(carry them off to a dumping ground) and have two brains, one brain is a central control brain and the other is a personal brain,im sure they have a genius or two in their mist.Laugh.It also means that we are not the most intelligent force that we think we are.

Leonardo Da Vinci.

Excelled in whatever he did; ultimate polymath: fabulous painter, mathematician, sculptor, architect, musician, writer, geologist  engineer, inventor, to name a few. He developed ideas that didn't become mainstream until the 20th Century. Just an exceptional man
