am in a similar predicament parachute. West of ireland is a good call,did it last summer(well north west) and absolutely loved the place am tempted to return but like to visit different spotson hols.

You know I'm only joshing patrick Galway is magnificent I agree. I've been many times to the festival but it is so darned expensive now. A week there and you could have a holiday in somewhere like Sardinia for the same price.

Yes completely agree,galway was stunning last year,theres a diving board into the atlantic just before the golf course at the top of the promenade,my kids thought it was great!

You're right though,its so expensive you do wonder whether or not to go somewhere the weather is guaranteed.
