All I can say is I wish I had a public service sector pension.....sounds very cushy. and not everybody in the private sector gets a pay rise.

They should strike more often so the people who pay their wages can get to work quicker.

There are some cushy jobs in the public sector. Some of them would have to be on strike for a week before anyone would notice.

I'm not talking about teachers (although they never seem to be happy) or frontline staff in the fire service, police or NHS.
Admin staff in Local Government, housing etc seem to have an easier ride than their private sector counterparts |

I work in administration in local government. A real pen pusher.
I don't agree with the strikes and am embarrassed by some of those striking claiming they're hard done by. They don't speak for me. As a point of fact, I only saw a handful of people on the picket line outside our office all day (out of hundreds in our building) and 99% of our staff worked as normal. Barely noticed it was happening. |
