There has never been a thread about them,so here goes.I think they had their day,they are unhygienic and should be banned.but long time ago if a women dropped her hanky if it was done and you were close to her it was a hidden message from her to come over and pick it up and talk to her.it was a sign that she fancied you.

Some people put a hanky in their top pocket,and have a matching tie to go with the hanky,they feel dapper when they wear the set of hanky and tie.
