I have seen Blondie live and outdoors and thought they were fantastic.  Crowd-pleasing hit after crowd-pleasing hit and Debbie Harry a totally charismatic performer who had the crowd in the palm of her hand.

They did an interview with Kevin Rowland and other band member yesterday but sadly no footage i can find....some great acts on the acoustic stage but doesnt appear to be any cameras on it, appalling decision

Rowland mentioned a Dexys film to hit the cinema screens next month i think...sounded interesting

his/their last album got fantasic reviews,them and blondie the only bands i would have liked to of seen,hope that doesnt make me a sad git?but i am a music snob

i like the Dexys album but as a long-standing fan i desperately wanted to like it more. Not near the quality of Too Rye Ay or the underrated classic Dont Stand Me Down but maybe the next one will get there

Think dolly is going to end up the sunday highpoint here.....Ed Sheeran bored the pants off me and popped up everyhwere like a bad smell all weekend, Ellie Goulding less said the better, St Vincent a poor mans bjork, The Black Keys i just dont get the hype, missed the Bombay Bike crowd..hear they're not bad.....just Massive Attack left really and those dorks Kasabian...

Dolly hammed it up as we knew she would - but very entertaining nonetheless

Watched about 5 minutes of that Kasabian tripe and got onto the red button.

Saw a bloke doing truancy type stuff and some girl with some funny things in here eyes.  Both far more interesting than Kasabian.

And then saw The Pixies.  I should know more about them, as they are considered legends, but I don't and they left me a bit cold.

Well into my middle age and the up and coming bands are of much more interest to me than the established acts.

I think pixies have a lot of good songs but they always bored me live....and i saw them twice in the flesh...but you're not supposed to say things like that about them

One undiscovered band I really like are Manhattan Syndrome.  Had an EP out a year or so ago and are releasing their debut album shorty.  His voice is a bit like The National, some stuff reminds me of U2.

Didn't see Dolly Parton, but there's lots of miming accusations this morning in the media

what i dont understand is, nearly every badn whos been around for a long time loses something of what it was that, at least as far as im concerned, inspired or attracted me to them in the 1st place,youd think after so many yrs theyd be fantastic and wouldve perfected the songs theyre famous for, AND better musically. But this isnt the case, pixies being  aprime example. If you watch their early videos in 80's they were better than any thing else around.

st Vincent are remarkably bad band .must have some good pluggers working for them.

Got loads recorded , not seen most yet.

Metallica were terrific , top table metal bands are the reason for live concerts.....and Metallica are not a favourite of mine.

Pixies , my fav band ever , enjoyed the old classics , but they were much better back in their youth in 88 when I saw them.

Manics , always a joy to watch , they have so many fantastic singles to perform.

Robert Plant , top man as as always.

Arcade Fire , looked like a theatre production with some very dull music imo.

Jack White , watched far too many Hendrix DVD's ....but always worth watching for Hotel Yorba.

Just listened to a bit of tUnE yArDs if that's how it's spelt and found them quite interesting. Powa is a stand-out track, one of best newish songs I've heard in ages

Watching Goldfrapp now, not a singer I ever paid much attention to but very agreeable, great voice

Impressed by Arcade Fire on Friday, downloaded new album on the strength of it, but a bit disappointed after two listens, just doesnt seem to have the power of the live show

Nothing at all on the bbc from the acoustic but the Dexys set is all up on you tube if you're interested. Only an audience recording but some great stuff in it

No worries...great we can at least access it, the 20 minute version of Tell Me What She's Like is epic though i'm not sure the whole conversation gimmick works that well overall

For anyone having Glastonbury withdrawal symptoms, there's a 2 hour programme tonight on BBC2 at 11.05 pm, featuring some of the acts.

This might change or be late because of Wimbledon, so check.
