Similar to another person on the thread, haven't worn a watch since leaving college
It would feel slightly 'alien' to wear one now, I'd think |

The only watches I can wear are ones with a soft narrow leather strap and a small face. Not into names. My aunt bought me one of those chunky watches with a silver strap for my 40th birthday. Luckily she lived in another country but the only time I wore it was when she visited.

Tissot prc 200. Black leather strap, black dial. £300-ish job. I like it, quite an all round watch really. A few years back I would never have spent a tenner on a watch, only around 30 did I become interested in them. I would now consider spending some serious cash on a watch. I see some as much more than just a time piece. A bit of craftsmanship, a bit of heritage. A nice watch can catch the appreciative eye of anybody.

Is this a wind up?

A swatch with a blue face I bought in Abu Dhabi 10 years ago, have never seen one the same. Have several other watches, some more expensive but always gravitate to this one - its like an old friend

Casio G-Shock. I like it because it's low maintenance. Shock-proof, water-proof, solar-powered, radio-controlled. Will probably live longer than me
|
By:
A slimline Accurist which cost £35.Keeps perfect time.Recently paid £27 for a replacement battery (£10)and leather strap (£17).You can buy the batteries for circa £1.Tried to replace it myself but couldn't get the back back on.The jewellers use a cork-screw like press thing.

i usd to wear a watch with Mickey Mouse on the face, but after 30 years it stopped working.
I sent it back to see if they could repair it, but they couldn't. As I had owned the watch for so long they sent me a new one, with the latest well known cartoon character on the face. Now I know what northernlad looks like. |
By:
I wear a Rotary for everyday use and a Gold Tossot for going out.
I would buy an expensive watch but I don't want to appear flash. |
By:
I've got a gold Tissot as well.

Never worn one since mum bought me one for birthday ,I was 10 ,went playing football in snow in park ,lost watch
Never had a watch since |

im allergic to leather, so i couldnt wear a fancy watch if i wanted to. metal straps really arent my style, cant stand anything like that. i did like a japanese style one i saw, lots of weird lights instead of numbers! but the strap was leather so again not an option for me. if i wore one itd have to be a plastic casio like from back to the future i suppose.

I own three watches, bought two about 10 years off of a shopping channel for about 500 each, never worn either of them and will sell them on ebay this week, doubt I'll get 500 for the pair of them.
