If only they'd done it a few years back. Clive Dunn could have still played Jones. It's not like he would have got too old and Mickey Rooney could have been a great Godfrey.

9-times-out-of-10 don't think remakes are a good idea, they are rarely better than the original. 

Especially when you have a classic like Dad's Army.
