Tooth ache?

putting toothpaste in your mouth helps if its an infection. though it stings a bit at first. keep doing that several times a day. ibuprofen probably helps.

also lying down with your head hanging off the edge of the bed. the blood rushing to your head helps ease the pain. dunno why.

Pain killers help a lot but nothing you'll get at this time of night

orajel will take the pain away.

Oil of cloves applied directly to the gum where the pain is helps.

Oil of cloves is best.

A trick I saw someone do was to crush an asprin and apply that straight on to the tooth with his finger.
He seemed to think it helped.

try    corsodyl... mouth wash.. swill in mouth for 2 minutes ..then repeat when pain comes.

Prepared, here's a link to a dental site which gives advice on pain relief for dental problems.
For pain from abscesses or cracked teeth they advise using clove oil - but there's also other tips which may be helpful.
Toothache is a bugger.

Anadin Extra used to do the trick but not so good since they stopped putting quinine in it.

told you, hold your head over the end of the bed. or stand on your head, but thats probably not very realistic!

i used to do it when i had toothache and couldnt sleep. works wonders.

oil of cloves works well but tastes really bad. vodka swished around the affected area is pretty good at taking the edge off it.

Yeah still alive pal, been high as a kite on painkillers these last few days. Didnt think of it at the time and call me a spud if i sound stupid. But could it be linked to my acid reflux which i suffer from? I ran out of my omerprazole a few weeks ago and havent been back to the docs to renew my prescription. Just a thought

In agony with it today have managed to book an emergency appointment for this evening.

Not sure if anyone gives a sh 1t but i'll update anyway. Wisdom tooth is totally decayed and has become infected which has lead to other parts of mouth becoming fe cked as well. Got to go back next weds to have ripped out what is left of it and on antibiotics until then. Anyone ever had anything similiar?

yep.  Wisdom teeth can be impossible to clean properly so are prone to decay.  Had a similar experience a few years ago and the pain was unbearable.  Lying down made it worst and I'd have to get up to stand up through the night with very little sleep.  Happened when I was away on business so was totally screwed.  Ibuprofen did nothing.

tom sawyer used to tie one end of a piece of cotton around the infected tooth & tie the other to the door handle .....slam the door shut and the tooth is hopefully removed ....although waiting for the dentist is probably best

Thats exactly how i've been larry, had problems with me jaw and ear for ages and i was told today that it all relates back to the wisdom tooth, still one week of pain before removal though.

try having sunburn

the worst possible pain i have experienced.  Agony for 5 days. Had to go to hospital as thought i had done permenant damage. Wouldnt wish it on anybody

I had my four wisdom teeth taken out under general anaesthetic when I was 23 years old.  It is an early twenties problem.
The surgeon said a wisdom tooth was not descending into place properly (they do a 90 degree turn and drop into place).  My tooth was going straight forward and compressing all my teeth.  You will have front teeth like "falling gravestones" if the problem is not corrected.  The pressure will do it.
So he said he would take one out, then that will leave the opposing tooth with nothing to bite against so he would take that one out, that would leave the two wisdom teeth on the other side pushing everything around so he would take those out as well.  So I had four taken out.

A few days after I got out of hospital I was in the witness box in court trying to explain that the car driver who knocked me off my motorbike a few months earlier was a ****.
But my face was swollen like a balloon, was discoloured from the bruising, I had four or five days of beard growth as I couldn't shave, and I was talking like Marlon Brandon in The Godfather.  The judge said he couldn't hear what I was saying, didn't know who was at fault, and said it was 50/50.

quality story kin pug its not that i just need it out, its totally decayed and infected and has gone on to infect halve my mouth/teeth. Have massive jaw, ear and under the eye pain as well. Not saying you're pain wasnt worse as sunburn is a bitch but this is really horrible pal

i was lucky and got an app 3 days after my toothace.

Dentist took my tooth out and she said just as well u got it taken out. Cos it was infected

felt a bit weird for a couple of wks when ur eating but dont notice anything anymore

Try gargling with warm salt water. Not sure about how effective it will be with wisdom teeth but it does ease an abcess temporarily. You have my deepest sympathy, toothache really is the worse pain I've ever known

So she spent a fe cking hour hacking away at it today to remove it and couldnt do it. Now told i have
to go to hospital with a possible 6 week wait, charged me 55 pound for today as well. Left in agony and bleeding out, oh and they
made me pay for more antibiotics as they fe cked it up. F ecking fuming

Had one removed the other week, it wasn't an easy one as the crown and tooth had fallen out so not much more than the root left. He had a bit of trouble but painless as ever with Dr Hamid. Cost £100 mind!

Fuming, they said at the time it would be tricky as the wisdom tooth had just pierced the gum, shouldve sent me to hospital to begin with ffs. Left in agony, out of pocket and still spitting blood ffs. Not a happy chappy

Finally had it ripped out at the hospital the other day. Stayed awake the whole time. It was brutal. 4 injections to the gum followed by him pulling out a knife and cutting open the gum. Then pulled out what seemed like a spanner and spent 20 mins hacking away at it. Finally got it out with blood everywhere. Got stitched up and sent on my way. Happy its finally out but was there really any need to keep me waiting 6 months. Praying theirs no after effects now.

Terrible having to wait 6 months. At least it`s done now and you will be pain free. GL

You can get rid of it in 5 mins if you know how to do healing with visualization.
