That is very unusual. It occurred in WW2 but that was because they were not prepared for new tactics. Exactly the same as the British army, who also ran back home (if that is how you want to view things).

To be honest, Lfc, it gets on me t1ts when I hear things like 'cheese-eating surrender monkeys' from the likes of Stephen bloody Fry! Also jokes about Italian tanks from people who have made no effort to actually study the topic of what transpired, why it transpired and HOW it transpired.

It does a disservice to many brave men.

Osbourne's face is going to be a delight when he explains that 'we' can't afford to play. We'll have to sit this one out!
