"Bunging my violin off the roof was a big day in my life but also I remember another big day for me in the Dulwich playground in the J forms.  You beat me up quite badly and easily and that was a shock. But I need it SO badly.  I wanna thank you SO much for doing that to me or rather for me.  I was such a cocky ****."

That was sent to me by an old schoolmate who lives in Japan on facebook today. I was in a total state of shock as we were only youngsters and I have no memory of it whatsoever, he was and still is, my mate. Just goes to show what sticks in someone else's noggin after over 30 years. I felt absolutely terrible after reading that Cry

I had nothing to do with the violin by the way.

Fishman, I was nearly in tears when I read his message. That's just not me at all, quite the opposite in fact. I hardly ever had fights when I was at school. Maybe we had a run in over some bird but not anything I can recall. It really upset me to think he remembers me giving him a couple of jabs yet he has invited me to Japan to visit his family. I've been distraught all day Sad

I would love to post the whole conversation on here to you all but I won't as it's far too personal but it was extremely funny. My mate was sitting in his garden in Japan talking about stuff drinking JD and it all poured out. Absolutely mad it was Happy

Surely you would remember if you had beaten your mate up , especially as you hardly had any fights.

Only had one fight in my whole time at school, was the  last year at primary, kid was a nasty piece of work started on me at the water fountain, I reckon he would have been 1.15 on betfair but after about two minutes it was broken up by a teacher with around 100 other kids baying for blood & I just had the upper hand at the time Angry he turned into a right thug as he got older & around the age of 25 he was killed in a supposed hit & run.

Had several fights in school, wearing specks seems to bring out the bullies. Although they usually got their head handed to them. Watch out for the little guy. I had this tornado punching technique. whip your hands overhead in a circular motion. Destroyed a lot of big guys with that - illegal in boxing. clubbing.
