The Ukip leader says the ban on the guns, which were made illegal in the wake of the Dunblaine shooting, was a "kneejerk" reaction and should be lifted Tongue Out

I've got a couple of hunting rifles and a sporting shotgun. No idea what the gun law is like in the UK, but getting ever stricter here..

the champion of democracy America, allows it's citizens to carry guns

since we seem to copy them in every way, so should we

I believe everybody has a basic right to protect themselves

For me, if I still understand UK/Scots law on it, you can still get into bother for defending yourself. i.e. you get attacked and knock the person out, you can still likely get charged/prosecuted for it. The case where that chap blasted away 2 burglars with a shotgun comes to mind. You can argue self-defence outside of the home too.

Here in Ontario, if anyone comes into my home and attacks me they're fair game.

If Farage is serious, so am I

America seems determined to push it values on all countries, so it seems to me this shoul include their gun law

I fear we adopting too may womens values, it does not make society pleasant. We need a few men's values back.

Although of course we would have to allow women to be armed as well, seems fair to me, no one would rape an armed women would they?

I agree with Mr Farage on this one. There's something wrong with the world when both the police (who are essentially an organised militia) and criminals have easy access to guns, but individual citizens are unable to defend themselves. To ban guns simply because some people use them to kill others, is the worst possible argument going. If I were to kill 50 people with a kitchen knife, you wouldn't ban kitchen knives?!? It's fecking ludicrous
Report themightymac January 25, 2014 12:44 AM GMT
A loony with a kitchen knife can be stopped, but a loony with an assault rifle doesn`t bear thinking about.

Is it legal to own a stun gun (taser) in UK?
Report ebulGery January 25, 2014 12:47 AM GMT
that's my AK47 out the windowSad

if everybody had a gun it would not be a problem, people would fire back
Report phaedrus January 25, 2014 1:49 AM GMT
Tasers are not legal in the UK for private citizens.
Report ThunderRoad January 25, 2014 9:23 AM GMT
That's a prime example of what's wrong. The police should never be in a stronger position than private individuals - this is where the abuse of power starts to happen.

pretty  hard to kill some one with a kitchen knife from the other side of the road d!ckhead.
