He sings as well as most of 'em these days and is very, very popular 'personalty' - must have done something right - perhaps you're a bit hard to please.

Was there ever a better qualification for stardom? 'He sings as well as most of 'em these days'

poor thing must have spend that $80 million he got from sany a few years back already

I saw this the other night for few minutes..... on in the background, remembered it because it caught my attention.....3 or 4 people in the room agreed that bloke, Robbie Williams can't sing. Maybe he could in the past don't really know...but the thing I heard was pretty dire.

Personality? The need to pull a stoopid face or say something fairly moronic every time a camera and/or microphone gets shoved his way. He's made a few decent songs, and has the modern day equivalent of that Elton John middle ground almost to him self. Music for people whose template for life is to watch Eastenders and X Factor, eat at McDonalds and Pizza Hut, and put little St George flags on their Ford Focus when a World Cup is on. I can't believe that your average Robbie concert goer goes to more than a couple of gigs a year, and all of the stadium variety.

HRH The Lager Khan - I honestly haven't/don't frequent the popular activities you have mentioned.....did accompany/chaffeur my youngest daughter to a Robbie Concert a few years ago - was a good night actually. She didn't marry him though - much against her wishes and she's has grown up a lot since then. May I suggest you refer to the 'People who dissapeared up their own backside' thread - might be just up your street.
By:
dewey - Maybe that came across as condescending, but the level of his popularity (the fact he can do 4 or 5 nights at Wembley rather than just a couple) baffles me - Personal choice of course, but I just meant there is so much better out there and it seems the masses are very easily pleased.
By:
Each to their own - could be worse........................
By:
It's 'acts' like him that hold back the development of music.
Gifted musicians hardly get a look in and so go to work in a shop or the like whilst Xfactor and other manufactured pap creates 'stars' |
By:
I agree with HRH in that the masses are easily pleased. However there are far worse acts out there than Robbie, who is a decent entertainer with a reasonable, but certainly not brilliant voice.
By:
I quite like the masses, or, as they're more commonly known, people.
