"South Yorkshire Police are questioning three 16-year-olds on suspicion of murder."

We don't know these lads did it but assuming they did, that's their own lives ruined and one life taken, not to mention the victim's family -- and for what, exactly? A few lousy quid? Respect, whatever that is supposed to mean?

Four other drivers have packed their jobs in. The pizza place will take less money.

a lot of these kids or people think everybody is like them. they dont realise or care that people out there have lives and careers. they just think everybody is on benefits, on drugs and no prospects. they nearly always do it on their own doorstep, you very rarely get these scum committing these crimes elsewhere. near certainty whoever did it lives within 2 or 3 streets of where it happened.

whoever ordered the pizza must feel bad, presuming they dont have anything to do with it, if theyd just had that frozen lasagne from the freezer the guy would still be alive. strange world.

Perhaps a robbery that went wrong? He would only have had a bag of change on him and a couple of notes.

It was a small parking recess which looks like a `hang out place` for youths, it`s a rough `white` area.

These pizza delivery boys ,and most are just young guys wet begind the ears  just trying to earn a buck when just out of education or at college are taking too much risk imo .They drive these scooters and often are not the best of drivers and in a hurry .Wonder how many are killed or badly injured .And thats before they get to destination and get beat up robbed or murdered .fck that for a game of soldiers .

While  back was in a fast food shop ,delivery guy returns with a  smirk on face .Mean looking fcker ,dressed all in black ,a Russian it turns out  .He has went to do a delivery in a high rise block in his car  and is telling the Asian shop owner 2 guys try to rob him as he takes the stairs up  ....."Big Mistake" he says  in a very Russian accent   ,he laughs ,"give me your money belt" laughs again and  weighs the owner in .
Dude was still fired up and you could see he was right up for it ,  had made his day imo . Unfortunately most of the ordinary motorbike driving delivery lads are prob not "up for it" .They will catch the scum who killed this lad but reckon there must be easier money around and maybe its a pretty exploitive job imo and the risks outweigh  the gain .RIP .

most pizza guys use cars these days. though some do still use bikes.

i agree its a terrible job. i wouldnt wanna do it. has to be easier ways to make a few bucks than going to dodgy areas in the middle of the night to deliver food. i wouldnt do it for 5 grand a week. and im serious. the pittance they no doubt get paid its amazing anybody does it.

It's still the area that can't be replaced by robots although perhaps it is the job for the terminator.
Not really what you want when you got to work, not having much say where you end up and every chance some pissed up degenerate will be waiting for you tooled up.

I stayed not that far from there at Southey Green in a mates flat 20 years ago, it wasn't exactly rough especially but deprived and the Pakistani run shop got plenty of grief.

In fact I've just looked on Google maps exactly where it happened and tbh all those council estates look identical to me.
You could be placed on any street in any of the areas of firth park, Southey, parsons cross, longley, lane top etc etc and not see any difference.
All those areas were built in the 30s with municipal funding to bring whole areas out of squalor, they were desirable once I read, until they put ppl in em.......

incidentally if you get chance to see a film called 'the real monty' I recommend it
its about sheffield and is funny seeing the council estates all new and hopeful before they went to 5hit and had burning settees on grass verges and police chasing 10 year olds on motorbikes
