think I have had a few but I am a very weird sleeper (lots of sleep walking)

I'd settle for a good nights sleep and waking up with a semi nowadays.

I got into this many years ago. I had quite a few lucid dreams BUT it was nothing compared to the effort I put into it.

I guess I'll always be into it but rarely become lucid due to not making any effort.

It really is a great experience! I wish I could have one!

Lucid dreaming is so last century. Astral projection is where it's at.

Ex-wife number 3 reckoned she used to astral plane.

We were in bed asleep one night when the bed shook violently.

I woke up wondering what the fack it was, and she said 'Sorry, rough landing.' and went straight back to sleep.

I wondered if there was a thread on this subject:

After experiencing my first around 1980 I would not get another until only a few years ago. With several more following I began to keep a record, which commenced in October last year.

I had two in that month, one in early December, with the most recent coming on Feb 26th. All four of these had one thing in common; they all followed an awakening where I couldn't get back to sleep. I'd get up for anything up to an hour before returning to bed again. A normal dream continued before the onset of lucidity midway through.

I've since read that this is one of the techniques for lucid dreaming; I found this out quite by accident but, for me, it does appear to work. I echo sheppy's words; it really IS a great experience.

I tried it for Cheltenham last year - slept well and woke up an hour before first race without any winners appearing, close call that was! Read about it and apparently it can take a lot of practice to get in the groove but when you get there you can be superman or anyone you want.
