It's one of the grimmest places on earth, Stoke-on-Sea. I'd rather camp out in Damascus.

agree with ken. An utter sh1thole.
Deal close by, St Margarets Bay, Sandwich and Canters all worth hanging out in though.

Have an hour at Herne Bay if you've got time Gresty. Unless it's changed in the last few years it's like being transported back to the 1950's.

yeah hope you have an enjoyable time gresty ,broadstairs when i was last there was full of old world charm ,they had an old art deco type very small cinema ,it only had about 30 odd seats if memory serves  which was a throwback to days gone by took the kids to see chicken run must have been 10-15 years ago ,well worth a visit if it still remains ,also an old fashioned  ice cream parlour type resteruant which was excellent and hopefully still there .

I have relatives in Deal , but don't remember too much about the place , only that it seemed a nice quiet place but not a lot there , the best thing about Dover was watching all the hovercrafts come in Cool

Depends what you're interested in, if you like stuff about WW2 the castle is a must, I could quite happily spend a whole day there, also the RAF memorial on the white cliffs:
