Apparently, if 3 people click 'report thread' the thread will disappear and that's that. It saves on staffing costs.

So the moderator does not remove the thread ,object to the thread , or even have an opinion or even any knowledge it ever existed.

So no point directing enquiries their way.

but there is an opinion, the bright spark that decided to implement the policy.

That is a bollocks system.

Still, who were the three that reported it? Have the Holy Trinity signed up to Betfair?

Didn't see a reason for anyone to report it,but you never know with this place.

it was the three wise men that objected, saying they didn;t buy jesus all that bling to have his opinions trashed.

i reported the thread as 'silly' and it does indeed ask for a reason why plus explanation.

confirmation is "Your flag has been submitted and will be reviewed by an administrator shortly."

i think someone still reviews them, they'll maybe get notified when a thread reaches a tipping point, but not automatic.

As it was explained to me , the individual reports are reviewed by someone , but 3 reports cause deletion automatically

I think it was a betfair e mail to someone that set this out ,after they queried what was happening with their posts/threads .They posted it up on Politics but i can't c&p as that thread was deleted as well

i checked them both, they're exactly the same.

on the home page are the 'report thread' triangles , which go yellow if you hover over them

I have never hit the report button yet but I am more than willing to help out in this case...after posting this post I will report the thread...stand by for thread oblivion...or not..

As Erse says , maybe the 3 reports just flag a thread up to the moderator . But if he sees it is 6 pages long he thinks fk trawling through all that and just hits delete

first time i have used report button, has been flagged and moderator will look later apparentley(that old chestnut).

There are no report buttons on the Classic forum.

I also want it explaining why my long post on the 'Ashes 2013' thread about cricket great Fred Trueman has been pulled since I posted it last night.

Nothing contentious, just chatting with like-minded sports followers about a sportsman - yet it's gone.

Many's the time chatting about something - especially sports related - leads to further discussions about what is a good bet or not and people sometimes follow another's advice, thus increasing Betfair's coffers.

How the hell they can pull a post about a cricketer is just laughable to me. Except it isn't funny at all.

If any moderators look at this thread, I'd also like to know why the religion one was pulled. Often you guys pull threads that are full of insults or really touchy subjects, and although a lot of us would prefer totally free speech, I undertand why you do it, and fair enough, it's your company (well, not yours personally, but you know what I mean).

This time though, and in Tommy Toes' case above, I really don't understand why the threads/posts were taken down at all. An explanation would be great, so we can understand where the boundaries are and not waste time posting things that are going to disappear.

Chatting about old sportsmen and their life and times, with no one saying anything untoward at all about, well, anyone/anything, does not necessitate the removal of a post - which took me eons to type!

I'd purposely looked up stuff about Fred and Boycott just to see if they were ever on TMS together (re my earlier query on the thread) and had found some good reading about them - which I then c+pd to the thread.

For it to be removed is nothing short of absurd nincompoopery.

A good tip is if anyone posts anything original of any length then they should make a Word copy first so that they can re-post it if it goes missing.

A huge amount of bets placed on here are via the forum if you like. Lot of people simply follow others ,just look at the USA racing thread for example.,.If the forum was gone it would cause massive damage to liquidity on that market. Also its been weeks since the live video worked properly for the American stuff. One has to wonder what the hell are betfair up to these days ,its like they are on a suicide mission.

Anyone know how long Betfair taker to respond to a query?

betfair forum have e-mailed me following pressure / promises from 2 Betfair senior managers

their reply is that they have the right to pull any thread without notice.

so I have pressed them for an explanation - if they tell us the reason then perhaps we can avoid this happening again

I am the same as you lmfao, I order my threads that I read from newest first then read from the bottom up.  Then when I am up to date on a thread all new replies, including mine, are on the top and easier to read.

Further to your recent query with us regarding to your Poker hand history.

Please be informed, that unfortunately our network provider are unable to provide you with the hand history,  however please can you kindly follow the below step to retrieve your hand history.

You can manually search in "my account" and look at cash table and tournament history. If you run a search over a period of time you should see all tournaments / sessions you have played. When you click on them, you can "update local information" which will download the hand history onto your computer. Also, please can you kindly check "store hand history locally" in your options.

I lost 30,000 hands which was my fault but I am not happy with the "senior management" response.

Ask Pokerstars for your entire history and they will send you.
