I've no problem laughing at the presenters/anchors but I do have a problem with idiots like Mark Nobbs suggesting that all 300,000,000 Americans are stupid. Pathetic ignorance. Anyone notice that neat little car driving around Mars right now? I'm pretty sure it has an American license plate on it.

beg to differ, there's nothing either 'comic' or 'genius' about this narcissistic irritant, the grating accent, the boisterous bravado, the pompous waffling and occasional pseudo intellectual sound bites go right through me. Toss a beer place mat into the air down at a local boozer here in Glasgow or most UK cities and its bound to hit someone more witty, more cerebral and generally more talented than him. He is the epitome of anti intellectualism, a pied piper at the forefront of an epidemic of narcissism and vacuous, fickle celebrity culture. This clip says more about how boring routine the show is along with it's placid presenters for him to be seen as entertaining or somehow worthy of viewing. That exhilarated, rapid-fire ranting and the profusely animated theatrics resembles the behaviour of a needy egocentric, pre-pubescent teenager, the implicit message transmitted through mainstream media being that this is a desirable characteristic for so called Alpha males to emulate and aspire to, yet it's not real, it's all feigned because it allegedly makes better television, he wouldn't last two minutes in some regions at the first sign of that clown malarkey. This persistent glory hunter, determined to go to all ruthless lengths to crack the US will ramble over anyone and everyone within close proximity, whilst belittling all and sundry until he is deemed the centre of gravity, me, me, me. This is typical of the modern day celebrity, famous for being famous, once they get a foot on the first rung of the ladder, usually for notorious reasons, the success and fame, social capital gradual multiplies exponentially, before too long their stupidly eulogised as renaissance men, masters of all trades, Brand the literate, the journalist, the broadcaster, the comedian, the novelist, the actor, the political spokesperson, whilst depriving those at the forefront of their field , brimming with talent the same oxygen of publicity and screen time. He then starts to believe his own hype as he blathers incoherently like Sid Vicious with a thesaurus in the broadsheet papers that he inveigled his way into and loving the sound of his own voice on ill devised political debate shows. Folk in their masses accept only whats presented before them, along with the misnomer that he's worthy of your attention and screen time, rarely scratching below the surface or seeking alternatives. He is thee mascot of mediocrity, in a concerted process of dumbing down. I'm not sure what's worse his malarkey or the thousands who entertain him and even lining his pockets undeservedly with their hard earned cash. I mean was that clip really so enlightening? A moment of pop psychology body language at the tail end...such genius, is there no end to this mans talents? If you want authentic rebels as opposed to these ersatz two bit chancers like Brand I would urge you to watch Oliver Reed interviews as a starting point.

Brand is very quick at spitting interesting words out and creating playful imigary to entertain us because we are all dull.
If we were not so dull then he would not look so interesting and windswept.

Judging by his performance on question time Thursday night, there is little doubt he is a mental case portrayed as an entertainer by the media much in the same oddball way jimmy savile was
