A Poundland opened up recently in our town centre and I ventured in for a gander frothe first time , I bought a usb car charger, and a multi adapter lead to plug which suit nearly all modern phones, tablets etc etc. I wasnt sure if it would work but took a gamble and found it works just fine 
and now sits happily in the glove box.
However, on my way to the till, some tins of tuna caught my eye, 2 tins for £1... Now, we eat a lot of tuna in our house, and it is usually about £1 per tin so a potential money saver, I checked the side of the tin and it said 130 grams, (120 grams drained) which I knew was the same as regular cans, So I bought 4 cans.... When I got home I opened a tin and proceeded to press down the lid over the sink to drain off the brine, as I pushed the lid, it almost hit the bottom of the tin!! knowing this was not normal, I weighed the drained contents and it was 75grams!!
. 45 grams short!! 
and it tasted horrible and I binned it... I will be complaining.. Overall I spent £3 and only ended up with a charger after binning the tuna, which overall is not bad going, I will however be more carefull on my next visit. 
Recommend ~ Car Phone Charger thingy..

Poundland is a very handy store indeed for acquiring small items you like at better discounted prices than you normally see in the big supermarkets.

i visited a local poundland and knowing the missus buys average size fairy liquid for over a quid in tescos ,poundland were selling 1200mm bottles for a pound ,got a bit carried away and bought 10 bottles ,1 lasts for ages so it was a bargain and still got 8 bottles left .
also bought a scart lead that didnt work, couldnt be arsed to take it back , but happy with the liquid .

avoid that cheap super glue ! you get about 5 tubes for a pound ,its fecking rubbish !
^ only if you have a slug problem and something to sand.
ypu could put the sand paper on your garden, the slugs would think they had hit the beach and gone on holiday

I have to say I'm hugely impressed with all the dressing up stuff for kids for Halloween, Christmas etc.
Great outfits at a fraction of the price of similar stuff in places like Tesco.

Definitely avoid batteries as someone else said, they'd barely be worth bothering with if they were free
true, the power in those batteries in pound shops are so weak they usually run out by the time you've taken them home
surely a duracell battery is the same in any shop?

Very good value for household cleaning items. The same well known brands are more than double the price in most supermarkets.
Not recommended - £-land disposable razors unless you're Jason Statham with an audition tomorrow

bongo had to laugh at the thought of the trowel snapping in two when used in clay.

Picked up a vibrating c0k-ring in one just before Xmas, had an advertised battery life of 25 minutes. I'll let you know the veracity of that claim at some point I'm sure.

Excellent for branded sweets and treats for the dog. Big bag of meaty chunks which my Jack Russell adores. They often have Baker's bacon sizzlers too, which she also loves. The screen wash is ok, but not brilliant, but the ice scrapers are excellent and make good stocking fillers. The windscreen sun screens too.
Yes, nothing says 'Merry Christmas' quite like finding an ice scraper in your stocking........
I haven't felt the need to buy any screen wash, ice scrapers or sun screens in the last 10 years. So, in that case, Poundland would have saved me £3.
Mind you, its not that good, because if I'd have not gone to Halfords, I would have saved even more.
