I've been on here ten years and the forum hit a new low today. Whether you liked Maggie Thatcher's policies or not, to wish death and rejoice in it doesn't say much about the poster. Quite shameful really. I'll be taking a break from the forum until things settle down...hopefully for the better.

Like any death first thoughts should be with the family and ones left behind.

nope. first thoughts are with the millions of families whose lives she ruined. felt the same when reagan, gadaffy, saddam, pinochet, ceausescu and various others died, and no pontificating tool's gonna tell me how to react.

so don't hurry back.

IF A LABOUR Leader dies yes i'd show respect.

The irony of people celebrating the death of an 87 year old woman from a stroke because she "lacked compassion" is beautiful (taken from twitter).

I'm now departing until this saga is over. ^^^^ people like dlarssonf don't know any better (thick as mince) others should know better.

Does this apply to the East German families when Thatcher and Reagan helped bring the Berlin Wall down?

To be fair, Mrs. Thatcher's extremist policies were always going to create much ill-feeling. People DO have the right to voice their opinion of the dead, if they feel it fitting to do so.
She cared little for the opinion of others while she lived, and one can only assume that the same would apply following her death. Hers was never going to be a universally sad passing.

Can you at least point me to even one of these comments.  I have made two comments on threads in the last six weeks, one on the tennis forum about the top 4 seeds and this one.  The previous 5 weeks I was in hospital with a burst appendix , so as you say I was bullying Annie? the other night can you at least be brave enough to post this up instead of making accusations???
