It used to be a wonderful island when I was there last (it was still a colony) talk about multi cultural - a liberals wet dream with muslim, chinese, sikh(they drove yellow and black merc taxis), malay and whites from all oaver. You eat out of doors and drank cheap booze. This was all in colonial days. Before '65. Apparently they now have 40 percent immigrants and new protest movements are forming locals say they are taking our jobs and government are saying we need young labour to support an aging population. Does this all sound familiar |

Immigration is the problem not immigrants moisok. It`s the to$$ers who are supposed to govern and serve the nation that are the problem. Either corrupt or hell bent on their careers.

I agree Shanelee 1966 I think governments have their own agendas the problem did not begin in 1965 imo Moisock it started in the 1950's when commonwealth immigration was encouraged this is where the real damage was done...particularly immigration from the sub continent - government says more young workers are required to pay for an aging population - does this sound familiar this is probably true, but only after all our own young people are in work |

we deny democratic rights to the BNP and EDL, etc
..so I suppose we get what we deserve ..the media are toothless, basically support the government |
|
By:
nothing you can do to stop them coming - no (mainstream) political party will help you.
........so just ignore the cnunts when they are here - begging, scamming etc Just fart in their faces - it's a romanion custom for showing your displeasure - They will be happy you understand and respect their customs |

To let 1000s of immigrants, with their different culture, religeon etc into the country and then expect the people to sort it out themselves is not fair on the immigrants or the indiginous population. The government should have learned from their previous mistakes but the tactic is still the same. Let 'em in and then sort it out yourselves . |

I'm having a problem spotting the racism in his post. Where is it?
|
|
By:
Having run my own business I employed folk from all ethnic backgrounds, until I sold up last year I would have been very wary about employing folk from this country, never had a problem with overseas workers, always turned up for work on time and did work unlike the their British counterparts who were late, always had an excuse for their countless days off(normally a Monday "my kid was was bad").
Countless excuses why they couldn't do a job " It aint my job boss" or "I thought someone else was doing it,nobody told me".There are many employers who will only employ overseas workers now and you can't blame them. |
|
By:
First - their is no racism in any of my posts
Secondly this was all about Singapore not the UK So 'factss' and the rest of those casting slurs in my direction pse go elsewhere and get your 'facts' straight thankyou |
|
By:
How dare you call them immigrants in Singapore? They call themselves expatriates or expats.
![]() There was a an anti-immigration rally today. http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/asia/336260/mass-rally-in-singapore-seeks-immigration-curbs A government policy paper last month said the population could range between 6.5 and 6.9 million by 2030, with foreigners making up 45 percent because Singaporeans are not producing enough babies to sustain economic growth. Citizens currently make up 62 percent of the current population of 5.3 million, of whom more than a third are foreign-born. |
