Personally I wouldn't drive with a layer of snow on the roof of the motor in case I had to slam on the brakes and it ended up on the windscreen, common sense really.

creates more down force hence more traction on the roads dontchaknow. bmw drivers showing their superior intelligence off..............

I just find it quite annoying as it slowly melts all down the windows & looks rather stupid too

when I was 17 I got a right bollocking from a copper for driving along with a tiny little window scraped out of my snow-covered windscreen.  Lucky not to get a fine, though, as he was a friend of the family.
