Baddiel and Skinner - Half decent. literally.

Cannon and Ball - quite embarrasing at times
Flanders and Swann - Gentlemen whose work has stood the test of time
French and Saunders - popular with the ladies
Fry and Laurie - occasionaly very funny
Hale and Pace - unique comedy act. two straight men. abject.
Hinge and Bracket - Sort of Flanders and Swann in drag

Little and Large - one big the other small. that was about it
Matt Lucas and David Walliams (Little Britain) - original. at times very good
Mel and Sue - whatever they were, funny wasn't it
Mitchell and Webb - funny blokes
Morecambe and Wise - a bit overrated imo

Newman and Baddiel - half decent.

Peter Cook and Dudley Moore - very overrated
Punt and Dennis - not bad
Reeves and Mortimer - I like them
Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones - marvellous
The Two Ronnies - of their time, but a good turn,

Laurel & Hardy.  A comedy double act that has seldom, if ever, been surpassed.

I knew Stan Laurel's grandson quite well in the 1990s, he was a very keen snooker player.

I can assure you, that all the ' filth' are inside the Conference Hall.

Just to show how we're all different I think Laurel & Hardy are the most unfunny beings to ever grace this planet. No offence intended but just don't get it. Their humour winds me up and can't watch it.

I understand I'm in the minority here.

One of the finest comedy scenes I ever saw featured Laurel and Hardy.

They're in a cafe or maybe it was a bar.

The phone on the wall rings.

Stan is the nearest to the phone, answers it and after a few seconds says "It certainly is", and puts the phone down.

Who was that?, asks Ollie.

Oh just some idiot saying it's a long distance from California.

Laugh

And Oliie, rather than scolding his mate, says I wish there was some way of putting a stop to these prank phone calls. LaughLaugh

If I were rating this;

Laurel and Hardy would be way in front of the rest, some of their stuff is still funny even now.

Honourable mentions would go to Armstrong and Miller - who were jolly good in their TV shows, especially the Flanders and Swann takeoff.
Would Penn and Teller count, as they're magicians, but they are funny?

Whatever happened to Hope and Keen?
