She's very funny.

I think she appeals more to women than men.

She is better than Millican but that isn't saying a great deal to be fair. Women just don't do funny, not sure why but they just don't.
Report GPT • September 2, 2012 11:48 AM BST
But on this occasion you are spectacularly wrong.
Report twomatchpoints • September 2, 2012 11:49 AM BST
I'm working class, and have had more women than you've had hot dinners.

Cheers was a working class comedy was it ? It was funny, but not working class. It's successful spin-off was' Frasier'. A comedy about two brothers who are psychiatrists, really down to earth stuff. Maybe working class in Boston USA (Not Lincolshire)

I'm a fan of Miranda, Micky Flanagan, Chubby Brown and among others, Eddie Izzard, who is a bit too high brow for you.

I'm always right.

Miranda is funny.

No hypocrisy there at all.

I can watch all sorts of humour.

Some of it makes me LOL, some doesn't.

Miranda is not as funny as Micky Flanagan, but she's still funny.

I rest my case.

So you think that people older than you have no sense of humour ?

I was right then, you are young.

I don't play dominoes btw, I'm not west indian.

I suppose you think Ken Dodd isn't funny either ?

Perhaps you should start a thread about the 'Who's on first' sketch and see how many like it and how many don't'

Then when the younger generation sign in and say it's crap, you can go to bed happy - bless.

Tut..tut..jealousy, formed as a stab at humour Laugh (I like the immature smileys, even at my age)

When I was young I was fit, in any sense of the word as it seems to mean something different these days.

Tall, athletic, muscular, good looking, non-drinker. no drugs, so easy to date women. (Those days are over now though)

You, on the other hand, young, spotty, skinny or obese, got a blow up doll or a 5 litre can of chloroform.

FFS at least have some factual humour you old fart
At least I can get it up I bet you cannot find yours anymore

When you ever manage to find a real live breathing woman, not a munter, I don't do munters, if you think I can't 'get it up', get her to meet me. She can take photos if you like, then you can cry yourself to sleep wishing you hadn't sent her.

I just find her slapstick type of 'comedy' rather embarrassing, and, yes, possibly she may appeal more to a female audience. Someone mentioned that women comedians who are funny are very few and far between and I tend to agree with that, but there is one exception that springs to mind and that is the late Victoria Wood and the one exceptional performance that she did about 25 years ago now, and that was 'An Audience with Victoria Wood'. I found that performance really clever with some magical comedic moments throughout the show. But I didn't find everything that she did since then particularly amusing. Rather patchy in fact.

How old are you MG ?

Dinner Ladies was brilliant?

Report mokegibboni • September 3, 2016 12:43 AM BST
I'm 66 - yes, Dinner Ladies WAS probably brilliant, but brilliant does not always equate to 'funny'. Again I thought it was funny in parts and certainly the acting was good.

I suppose in the end it's down to personal taste - the one sketch that I always looked forward to was 'Acorn Antiques' which I thought was REALLY well done. It did transfer to a West End musical a few years ago which was great (albeit a bit lengthy).
